They tend to put all their efforts into PCB and Enclosure design, or there is not enough time to work on the wiring aspects, which can be catastrophic in some cases as a PCB redesign may be required because of interface Component selection or they did not take into account the environment the product is meant to perform in.

The designer engages with us at the concept design stage where the proposed design is discussed and its intended use. This allows us to review the concept design from a Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), how much automation that can be applied based on the potential component selection, we always advise the Customer of the benefits of standardisation against customisation. We can, with the aid of some good industry tools advise of components lifecycle status as well as RoHS, Reach and Conflict material origins. This has proven to be invaluable to our Customers and in some cases has prevented costly PCB or product redesign.
