M&M Qualtech Global Supply Chain Disruption Strategy
About | Covid-19
M&M Qualtech had recognised in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic that we would be facing many global supply chain challenges.
Our continual goal is to accurately project our client’s material requirements and align JIT, (just-in-time), supply of materials and finished goods.
It is even more imperative that we continue to work closely with our partners to accurately define current and future requirements, continue to align our operations and successfully mitigate any disruptions to our client demand. Some materials that were once readily available are now in a 52 + week delivery schedule and alternative sources are limited or not available. We strongly advise our customers to place order schedules out 12 months in advance as lead times from most suppliers are being pushed further out.
This is a call to action that we have taken seriously, requiring continuous collaboration, focus and forward planning. We will continue to work with our supply chain partners and our clients on an individual basis as each pose unique inherent potential challenges.
M&M Qualtech will be reviewing our approach to three supply chain disciplines most affected by the pandemic:
Sales and Operations Planning
We will be continually working to understand the demand and supply dynamics that affect our customers.
Sourcing
M&M Qualtech will use this opportunity to de-risk our supply chains. We will reconsider trade-offs between cost and risk in the context of supply chain interruption. This may mean making difficult decisions and investing for the long-term.
Supply Chain Execution
M&M Qualtech will engage in close collaboration with direct and indirect supply chain partners to ensure the availability of data that indicates the strength of a supply chain and the risks posed to it. Technology will be leveraged to coordinate information sharing between supply chain partners and turned into actionable insights.
M&M Qualtech is poised to overcome these challenges with continued collaboration with all stakeholders.
